Scholarships
Scholarships are awarded to students based on talent, commitment and academic performance.  GTA has an annual calendar of scholarship audition/portfolio events that enable prospective students to be our guests for a production and participate in other campus Open House activities.  Students auditioning for scholarships should be in the process of applying to Brenau University or Gainesville State College and must be declared theatre majors.

Performance majors (B.A. or B.F.A.) should prepare and present two contrasting, 60-second monologues. Candidates for the B.F.A. in Theatre with a Musical Theatre Emphasis must perform a one-minute segment of a song from a musical, with accompaniment on CD.  B.A. candidates are encouraged to perform a song, although this is optional.  Headshots and resumes are required of all.

B.F.A. candidates for the Design and Technology degree should bring in a resume and portfolio that demonstrates some preparation in technical and design areas.

Benefits & Logistics of a Two School Program
We know you may have many questions about the logistics and benefits of our unique collaboration between two different schools, and we are happy to meet with you to discuss all questions. The best way to gain an understanding of the program is to attend a GTA scholarship audition event, where you will see our work, have the chance to meet current students, and discuss any questions with the faculty and staff.

To make an audition/portfolio appointment for one of these dates, or to be added to GTA’s prospect list to receive information about upcoming events, contact Celeste Morris, GTA Recruitment Chair at cmorris@gsc.edu.
